Júlio Resende made history in 2013 by being the first musician ever to be allowed to use a recording by Amália Rodrigues to record a seemingly impossible duet. In Portugal and Spain, he is known to all music lovers - he plays on the biggest stages, has television appearances, you can call him a star without a doubt. In the rest of the world, the name may be new to some people, but one or the other has certainly already noticed him as a long-time companion of Salvador Sobral, or unconsciously listened to his compositions while streaming films and series: Elisa y Marcela (Netflix) & Foodie Love (HBO). The (more or less) solo albums "Amália per Júlio Resende", "Fado & Further" (live) & "Poesia Homónima" (poems by Eugénio de Andrade and Gonçalo M. Tavares, in the unmistakable voice of Júlio Machado Vaz) mark his path, furthermore a Pop album ("Cynderella Cyborg"), Indie music ("Alexander Search") and a classical duo with the legendary pianist Maria Joao Pires: it all feels natural with Júlio Resende.
