Two very different projects - with one and the same singer - have recently joined my artist portfolio. It's not a very well-kept secret how crazy I am about Veronika Harcsa and her extraordinary style: her voice, which she knows how to use like an instrument like few others, her lyrics, her guitarist Bálint Gyémánt. Together with Nicolas Thys on bass and Antoine Pierre on drums, the duo will release a new album in autumn: "About Time" will be released in September on Jazzhaus Records.

In addition, I book her rather classically inclined project "Debussy NOW! (BMC Records). Claude Debussy would probably have welcomed the idea of breathing new life into his works 150 years after they were written - by artists who know no musical boundaries, because that was precisely the goal of the musical translator and impressionist. On their joint album, harpist Anastasia Razvalyaeva, singer Veronika Harcsa and guitarist and sound designer Márton Fenyvesi transcribe Debussy's songs into a contemporary language, not subjecting themselves to any restrictions imposed by conventions or genres.
